After taking a public office in the U.S. government, Elon Musk admitted he’s afraid of being murdered if he “talks too much.”

The confession was made during the entrepreneur’s appearance on Joe Rogan‘s podcast on February 28. At the time, he said he’s been fearing for his life since he took the position as director of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

According to him, his main job in the department is to expose corruption schemes. So, after he made sure “fraudulent” people stopped receiving bribes, this could drive them to take desperate measures against him.

“They really want to kill me. They say that online. There are Reddit forums where they not only want to kill me, they want to desecrate my corpse,” Musk told Rogan.

Since his speech at Donald Trump‘s inauguration in January, when he was accused of giving a Nazi salute, Musk has been collecting enemies. A global boycott of Tesla was set up, which led to a drastic drop in the company’s sales and stock.

“It turns out that when you take away the money people receive fraudulently, they get really upset and basically want to kill me because I’m stopping their fraud,” the entrepreneur told Fox News last Tuesday (18).

“They want to hurt Tesla because we’re stopping this terrible waste and corruption in the government. Bad people do bad things.”
